Soy is a crop that, due to its high margin, is gaining increasing popularity in Russian fields. According to the forecast of the Institute of Agricultural Market Conditions (IKAR), in the 2025/26 season, the gross soybean collection in Russia will be around 8.4 million tons, which is 1.4 million tons more than the previous season. If this forecast comes true, agricultural producers will set another record. IKAR's General Director Dmitry Rylko, speaking at the V Oil and Fat Conference about soybean sowing this season, noted that the forecast is 4.6 million hectares, which is 0.4 million hectares more than the previous season.
