Family farming cooperatives focused on the export of honey and nuts will have access to emergency support through the Stock Formation Support (AFE) modality of the Food Acquisition Program (PAA). The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture (MDA) has reserved up to R$ 30 million for the measure, which will be executed by the National Supply Company (Conab). According to the ministry, the objective is to offer financial relief to organizations that are facing difficulties after the application of additional tariffs on Brazilian products in the external market. The support is especially aimed at cooperatives that direct their production to the United States and that, due to the increase in export costs, cannot fully redirect their volumes to the domestic market.
