Italian cheese exports in the first quarter of the year saw a slight increase in foreign turnover and a rise in volume sold, with the European market being the primary contributor. Intra-community sales rose by 22% in March, reaching 200 million euros. Although the UK and Japan markets experienced declines, the USA and China markets showed positive growth. The export of fresh products and Provolone saw a growth, while other products decreased in the first quarter. Notable double-digit growth was observed in the exports of Pecorino, Gorgonzola, Grana, and Parmigiano in March.
