Export of Ukrainian grain decreased by almost 6%

The actual volume of Ukrainian grain exports for the marketing year, which runs from July 2022 to June 2023, reached 43.6 million tons. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. The above-mentioned result is 5.9% (2.7 million tons) inferior to the indicators of the last marketing year. Ukraine has already managed to export: The export of wheat flour, as well as flour of other crops, increased by 91% (63.8 thousand tons) to 134.2 thousand tons during the specified period. It should be noted that the European Commission introduced a ban on the import of Ukrainian sunflower, rapeseed, corn and wheat to Slovakia, Romania, Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria. The corresponding restriction should be valid until June 5. From May 2, according to the decision of the European Commission, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia undertake to cancel their unilateral measures regarding the import of agricultural products coming from Ukraine.
