The average price of exported sheep meat per ton dropped to US$ 4,814 in the last week, a decrease of US$ 450 from the previous week, according to INAC. However, the 30-day average price rose to US$ 4,363 per ton, marking the third month of being above last year's values. The annual average price this week surpassed the price for 2023 to date, with shipping volumes to Brazil and the Middle East seeing a strong start, with a 21% to 23% increase compared to the previous year. However, the cumulative export revenue remains 33% below the previous year, largely due to a drop of over 70% in the volumes shipped to China.
