Following the good performance recorded in 2025, the Brazilian pig farming industry maintains optimistic projections for 2026. The expansion of external demand coupled with the moderate growth of production and the maintenance of firm prices should ensure attractive margins throughout the cycle. Calculations by Cepea indicate about 1.44 million tons of pork to be shipped in the next year, which would represent a growth of 6.3% over 2025. These numbers may even improve Brazil's position in the ranking of the world's largest exporters of the protein – since 2023, the country has occupied the 3rd place, according to USDA data. According to Cepea researchers, the expectation is for the opening and consolidation of new markets, as well as the expansion of the total value exported.
