The potential for Russia to increase its agricultural exports to Vietnam, including grains, pork, and fish products, could see a more than fourfold rise by 2030, according to Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Sergei Levin. This growth is attributed to the strategic importance of Vietnam as a platform for Russia to access other Southeast Asian markets, coupled with a 32% increase in trade turnover between the two countries in 2023. Both nations are actively working to expand the list of exporting companies, aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the agro-industrial sector and ensure the safety and accessibility of their products in each other's markets.
