According to the Ukrainian Agricultural Export Association, apple exports from Ukraine have decreased in revenue and sales, with China and Poland experiencing significant declines. The reduction in Chinese exports is due to lower quality and quantity of apples produced, while Poland's loss is attributed to geopolitical factors and changes in Egypt's import priorities. However, Ukraine has seen an increase in its apple exports, reaching 24th place in the global ranking in 2022. In 2023, Ukraine sold over 22,000 tons of apples worth $9 million, with a significant portion of the revenue coming from sales to the UAE, France, and Sweden. The future export of Ukrainian apples will depend on factors such as the new harvest, logistics, and pricing conditions in the domestic and global markets. Additionally, it is worth noting that apple stocks in Europe are 23% lower than the previous year.
