External financing of $500 million for DSİ's irrigation and flood prevention projects

Turkey secured $500 million in long-term and concessional financing from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to support irrigation and flood prevention projects carried out by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI). According to information received from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Turkey's efforts to secure concessional and long-term external financing in various areas continue. In the framework of the Results-Oriented Water Efficiency and Climate Resilience Program, which was developed to support the irrigation and flood prevention projects carried out by DSI, a long-term and concessional financing agreement worth $500 million equivalent in euros was signed between the Ministry and AIIB.
