Farmers from the Nikolaev region (Ukraine) are increasing the area of coriander cultivation

In just one year in the Nikolaev region (Ukraine), the area for growing niche crops increased by 46%. Unlike grain crops, the cost of sowing niche crops is much lower, writes EastFruit with reference to SEEDS. According to Vadim Belik, the head of an agricultural enterprise from the Snigirevsky district, the estimated cost of sowing one hectare with niche crops, in particular coriander, is up to 15 thousand hryvnia, and with grains - more than 20 thousand hryvnia. The farmer adds that coriander is exported to Europe. “Bulgaria purchased a large amount (of coriander - ed.). As I understand it, they have a processing plant. The price is currently constantly rising. We are still in the process of assembling, and phone calls regarding implementation, let’s say, do not subside.
