A heated engine (sometimes also the fluids flowing from it) in combination with dry chaff after harvested crops is a simple path to a fire. Hence the appeal to farmers regarding the parking of cars. Every year, numerous fires of agricultural machinery occur in the fields during harvest, causing enormous losses for farmers. But such damages also include personal cars that are parked on chaff. For example, from August 1 to August 10 of this year, during field work related to the harvest in the Zamość County (Lublin Voivodeship), 11 fires were reported caused by the carelessness of people. In three cases, these incidents occurred after drivers of personal cars drove onto cultivated fields. "As a result of these fires, in one case, the driver of the vehicle suffered burns to his legs and hand. Unfortunately, the car could not be saved in Bodaczów (August 9), but as a result of the firefighting action, a combine harvester and 5 hectares of standing wheat were saved," reads the ...
