Despite some regional price fluctuations, lettuce cultivation in São Paulo's green belt remains satisfactory for producers, according to Cepea. Milder temperatures have boosted production, especially in Mogi das Cruzes, although some crops in Ibiúna have been affected by viruses. Last week, prices for the curly variety increased by 33.3%, averaging R$50.00 per box of 20 units. However, a larger supply of lettuce in Mogi das Cruzes has led to a 2.5% decrease in prices of the American variety, with a weekly closing price of R$ 35.83 per box of 12 heads.
