Following a request from federal prosecutor Jorge Gustavo Onel from the Santa Fe unit, Judge Aurelio Cuello Murúa finally ordered the prosecution of two former executives of the dairy company Sancor, accused of embezzling millions of pesos in employer contributions. The individuals in question are Pablo Gastaldi and Alberto Eduardo Sánchez. Both were presidents of the Board of Directors of Sancor Cooperativas Unidas Limitadas and had been accused by the Public Prosecutor's Office of "misappropriation of more than 1,600 million pesos from the company's workers intended for the Single Social Security System." As the events occurred between 2020 and 2024, the amount is much higher in today's figures. This crime of aggravated tax evasion, provided for in article 7 of the Tax Penal Regime (Law 27.430), carries penalties ranging from 3 to 9 years in prison.
