Kazakhstan plans to approve a Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Selection and Seed Production of Agricultural Crops for 2024-2028. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, answering the request of the deputies of the Senate of the Parliament. “In order to develop crop breeding within the framework of program-targeted financing of scientific research, the amount of allocated funds for crop breeding for 2024-2026 has been increased by 5 times (from 1.5 billion tenge to 7.5 billion tenge),” the Prime Minister wrote. - Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov in his response to a deputy's request. In order to implement the main strategic directions of the branch of breeding and seed production of agricultural crops, a draft Comprehensive Plan for the development of breeding and seed production of agricultural crops for 2024-2028 has been developed.
