First aronia harvest in Balıkesir

At an event held in Kayalar Neighborhood of Balya, Balıkesir Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu conducted the first aronia harvest in the field with the producers. Aronia, known as a "super fruit" and among medicinal aromatic plants, is high in nutritional value and has antioxidant properties. The yield of aronia, which has adapted to Balıkesir's fertile soils and climatic conditions, brought joy to the producers. In the field of aronia producer farmer Göksel Kanat in Kayalar Neighborhood, the first aronia harvest of the season was welcomed by Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu, Balya Mayor Orhan Gaga, Karesi District Governor Metin Arslantaş, Agricultural Provincial Director Dr. Hüseyin Düzgün, protocol members, and women from Kayalar village, who played the region's famous folk dance 'Nina'.
