Speaking about commercial aquaculture, Patrushev noted that volumes comparable to last year are expected this year. In 2022, the production of commercial fish increased by 8% and reached 383 thousand tons. Over the past 10 years, indicators in aquaculture have doubled. The results for the extraction of aquatic bioresources and aquaculture ensured the continued positive dynamics in the deep processing segment. At the end of 2022, the share of such products in the total production volume exceeded 30%, which is more than a year earlier. This is very important, because it is necessary to increase the volume of products with high added value, the minister stressed. According to him, the results of the industry in 2022 made it possible to fully ensure the implementation of the indicator of the Food Safety Doctrine for fish.
