Russia is strengthening its position as a key supplier of agricultural products to Tunisia, with wheat, barley, and sunflower oil being the main exports. The country also started delivering powdered milk last year and is looking to increase these volumes. Grain supplies to Tunisia have seen positive growth, with the Republic importing over 1.4 million tons of Russian grain by the end of June 2024. There is also potential for the export of leguminous crops and durum wheat to Tunisia. Additionally, Russia is exploring the possibility of supplying meat and fish products to Tunisia, following the expectation to consolidate its position in the Tunisian market and expand food trade.
