A study in Costa Rica found that 48.7% of people consume frozen chicken-based products, while 51.3% do not. The main reason given for not consuming these products was health concerns. Among those who do consume the products, 54.5% read the packaging instructions, with most falling between the ages of 35 and 49 and having university education. The most common cooking utensil is the conventional frying pan, followed by the air fryer and microwave. Supermarkets are the favorite place to purchase these products. The researchers suggest that there is a need for education on the proper handling and cooking of these products, particularly in non-traditional cooking technologies like the air fryer and microwave.
