Freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region are steady at $26 per ton for 3,000 dwt cargo to the Sea of Marmara's ports. Despite active calculation of peas and chickpeas shipments, low product prices prevent profitable contracts. Demand for export shipments from Russian river ports, especially Egypt and Mersin, has led to a slight rate increase for these destinations. From September 4, Russia will increase the duty on wheat exports to 1,115.7 rubles, corn duty will rise slightly to 724.5 rubles, and barley duty will be zero.
