Chile's fruit producers and exporters report a successful cherry and blueberry season, with an increase in cherry volumes, primarily for export to China, despite a decrease in blueberry volumes due to varietal replacement. The improved logistical conditions this year have led to better returns for Chile's fruit industry, with no logistical issues reported this season. The entry of a large number of cherry orchards into production and the replacement of older blueberry varieties with newer ones are contributing to the industry's growth and competitiveness. In the Ñuble region, expectations for returns are positive, with an increase in the value of blueberry exports in January by 26% and organic blueberries by 133%. Cherry exports from the region also saw a significant increase in both volume and value.
