From January to July of 2022, global fruit and vegetable shipments saw a 6% increase compared to the same period in 2021, totaling US$ 3,051 million, as reported by ADEX. Fruit exports, including avocados, grapes, and blueberries, increased by 5.2% to US$ 2,425 million, while vegetable exports, led by asparagus, increased by 7.3% to US$ 625,810,000. The United States was the leading destination for both fruit and vegetable exports. The trend towards consumed frozen fruits, pulps, and vegetables has also grown, especially during the pandemic.
