A recent report has highlighted a surge in African swine fever (ASF) outbreaks in Europe, with Germany seeing an increase to eight cases, including in Brandenburg. Since July 2021, the disease has been prevalent in several other countries, with Romania experiencing the highest number of outbreaks. The total case count in Europe has risen to 2,212 across six countries, including Italy, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary, underscoring the need for increased vigilance and prevention measures against ASF in pig populations.
