São Paulo, 10/20/2025 - The producer price index (PPI) in Germany fell by 1.7% in September compared to the same month in 2024, according to data recently released by Destatis, the country's statistics office.

Compared to August, the indicator decreased by 0.1%. According to Destatis, the reduction in energy prices continued to be the main factor for the drop in the index compared to the previous year.

Intermediate goods also became cheaper, while capital goods and non-durable and durable consumer goods recorded price increases. Excluding energy, producer prices rose by 0.9% compared to September 2024 and remained stable on a monthly comparison.
