The Government indicated this Wednesday that it will monitor prices in the country and their impact on families, along with the rise of the Unidad de Fomento (UF) above $40,000, following the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI), which varied by 1.0% in March. The Minister of Finance, Jorge Quiroz, stated that the truce between the United States and Iran could provide some relief to people's pockets, considering that due to that conflict in the Middle East, one of the products in the basket that increased the most was gasoline (+8.2%). During the last week of March, gasoline and diesel fuel recorded increases of nearly 40% and 50%, respectively. However, the monthly variation that the CPI collected for these same products was 8.2% and 12.8%.
