The Siberian Federal District (SFD) of Russia has seen a significant increase in the export of grain products to China, with a 87% rise to 1.75 million tons in the agricultural year ending June 30. This increase is reflected in the growing number of exporting companies, which has risen from 173 to 236. The main exports include barley, rapeseed, peas, wheat, and buckwheat, with the exception of flaxseed which saw a decrease of 69%. Demand for wheat flour also increased fourfold. However, the total grain harvest in the Siberian regions for 2023 was nearly 4 million tons less than in 2022.
