The Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs in North Gyeongsang Province has announced the selection of four new crop accident insurance items, including blueberries, watermelons, ginger, and sesame seeds. This allows farmers growing these crops to sign up for insurance coverage. The province plans to increase the total number of crops covered by insurance from 52 to 56 by 2025, and also expand the membership area for walnut growers. The insurance aims to support stable farm management and alleviate the anxiety caused by natural disasters.
