On the 16th, Goeryeong County (County Mayor Lee Nam-cheol) held an interim report meeting on "Research Services for Climate Change Response Major Crops" at the Ureuk Room in the county office. Goeryeong County, in collaboration with the National Agro-Meteorological Center, is striving to establish a weather forecasting system that can predict the optimal planting times for strawberries and garlic based on regional climate analysis. This is an important step towards minimizing agricultural damage caused by climate change and establishing a scientific farming system. The meeting was attended by about 20 people, including the local agricultural cooperative head and representatives of farming cooperatives, who presented a wide range of opinions on the various factors needed to determine the optimal planting time forecast.
