A 48-hour suspension on the movement of pigs has been ordered in Gyeonggi and Incheon regions of South Korea, following an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) at a pig farm in Gimpo. The farm, with a capacity of 3,000 pigs, has been temporarily slaughtered and is being investigated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korean Pig Association. The decision to suspend movement comes after symptoms of ASF were observed in a portion of sows at the farm.
