Turkey's leading hazelnut producers are now unloading their products to the market after completing the harvest and drying process. The state-owned Turkish Food Agriculture Organization (TMO) has started purchasing hazelnuts for the new season at competitive prices, which will continue until December 31. TMO has set different prices based on the quality of the hazelnuts. So far, there has been great interest from producers, with over 100,000 tons of appointments made and half of it already realized. TMO General Manager Ahmet Güldal emphasized the importance of quality control to prevent spoilage and emphasized that producers should wait for stable prices in the free market instead of selling at low prices.
