South Korea: Highly pathogenic AI found in laying hens farm in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, 16th case nationwide

The farm owner reported an increase in livestock deaths to the quarantine agency the previous day, and a detailed inspection confirmed that it was highly pathogenic AI. This is the 16th case of highly pathogenic AI that occurred at a poultry farm during the winter this year. The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters decided to restrict access to the farm and cull 69,000 chickens raised at the farm in accordance with the emergency action guidelines (SOP).
