Agronomists from the Dmitrov branch of the Rosselkhoztsentr conducted an inspection of cabbage seedlings in the greenhouses of the "Bunyatino" Agrifirm. The enterprise is a closed-cycle vegetable holding: in addition to growing and storing vegetables and potatoes, it also produces grains and legumes, as well as milk. "Bunyatino" uses cassette technology for growing cabbage. Seeds are sown in special cassettes with cells – this helps to form the root system in a limited volume and minimize its damage during transplanting. Thanks to this approach, it is possible to achieve high plant survival rates, their uniform development, and increased yield. The growing process looks as follows: after the emergence of seedlings, the plants are transferred to greenhouses, where they are strengthened and hardened, and all necessary care and protection procedures are carried out – before planting the seedlings in open ground.
