A market price study in the week before the holiday shows an expenditure of 412 euros for products intended for a traditional Easter meal for six to eight people, which is an increase of 14 to 20 percent compared to 2025, when the amount was 361.95 euros. The increase is about 50 euros. The data from the General Federation of Consumers in Greece (INKA) was cited by local media and BTA. According to them, a kilogram of lamb costs the same as it does here - between 14 and 16 euros in the provinces, but in Athens and Thessaloniki the price can reach up to 18 euros, and sometimes even more.
