The project "Valorization of Waste Grape Seeds for Obtaining an Innovative, Antioxidant, Dietary Food Supplement" has been launched, bringing together efforts from the University of Burgas "Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov", "Antarta" AD, "Gebo Consulting" Ltd., and local grape producers. The goal is to implement innovative technologies for the utilization of waste from winemaking. By applying environmentally friendly extraction methods, grape seeds can be transformed into a valuable resource rich in bioactive compounds – powerful antioxidants with applications in food. The project promotes the circular economy by creating new income opportunities for producers and reducing the negative impact on the environment. The partners are working on establishing an operational group working throughout the entire chain – from the collection of raw materials, through laboratory research and the development of new products, to market implementation.
