Huancavelica: 15,000 trout fry were planted in the Huarmiccocha lagoon

The Regional Government of Huancavelica, through the Regional Directorate of Production, has seeded 15,000 trout fry in the Huarmiccocha lagoon, located in the town of Sune, Surcubamba district, Tayacaja province.

This initiative aims to strengthen food security, improve the income of aquaculture families, and promote the conservation of the region's hydrobiological resources.

Furthermore, it seeks to boost the development of aquaculture, considering that Huancavelica has a high potential in this sector, as it has one of the largest quantities of lagoons and rivers in the country. Therefore, the goal is to position the region among the main producers of trout at the national level.
