Korean cattle farmers are taking measures to stabilize the price of Hanwoo beef by promoting the consumption of low-grade beef through a project called 'Self-rescue measures to resolve low-grade congestion.' The project involves consulting with large catering companies to support the consumption of grade 1 or 2 Korean beef over imported beef, with financial support from the self-help budget. The plan aims to resolve the stock burden of Korean beef at major meat packaging companies and increase demand by distributors. The project will also extend to online distribution channels through discount coupons and processing low-grade beef into jerky for promotion.
