The wholesale prices for semi-hard cheeses in Ukraine remain unchanged, however, most of the products are sold at significant discounts, which reduces the real income of producers. European cheeses are cheaper for retailers, so chains can set higher markups and still offer a lower final price. This ensures high demand for imports and makes it difficult to sell Ukrainian products, which cannot compete in the price segment. During the winter period, further production declines are expected: demand is shrinking, and enterprises avoid accumulating large stocks. The pressure is also felt in the cheese products market—imported cheese prices have approached the cost of Ukrainian dairy products, which may also lead to a reduction in their output. ...
