Between January and October of 2024, Ukraine saw a significant increase in the export of live sheep and goats, with a total of 1.2 thousand tons sent out, marking a 60.2% rise from the same period the previous year. The financial value of these exports also surged by 64.9%, amounting to $1.4 million. The main importers of Ukrainian domestic sheep and goats were Lebanon, Jordan, and Libya, accounting for 69.6%, 23.3%, and 7% of the total exports, respectively.
