In four years, blueberry exports from Georgia have increased fivefold

In Georgia, from June 30, 2023, the Agency for Competition and Consumer Rights Protection began monitoring the blueberry market. According to the agency’s interim estimates, up to 50 companies exported blueberries from Georgia in 2020-2023. About 90% of exports go to Russia. As Business Georgia reports, the volume of blueberries exported from the country is growing. In particular, in 2020, total blueberry exports amounted to 654.9 tons; in 2023, an increase of 500% was recorded - 3,412 tons.
