The Agency for Competition and Consumer Rights Protection in Georgia has initiated monitoring of the blueberry market, with interim estimates revealing that up to 50 companies exported blueberries from the country between 2020 and 2023, primarily to Russia. The volume of exports has seen a significant increase, with a 500% growth recorded in 2023, and the total value of exported blueberries reaching $53.9 million in the same year. A comprehensive report on the blueberry market is expected to be prepared by the agency in 2024.
