Greece is experiencing a significant surge in the prices of basic food items such as bread, flour, milk, pasta, meat, and coffee. Supermarket prices for pasta have risen by 5-10 eurocents per package, packaged cheeses and sausages have increased in price, milk prices have risen by upto 25 eurocents per liter, and bread prices in bakeries have increased by an average of 10 eurocents. Meat purchase prices in butcher's shops have also increased, and coffee prices in some restaurants have doubled. This price hike is attributed to the rise in raw material costs andpoor harvest in Brazil, the world's largest coffee supplier.
