Trade indicators for live cattle in Colombia's departments of Córdoba and Sucre showed positive growth in October, as reported by the Observatory of Agricultural Prices and Costs of the Northwestern Colombian Caribbean Zone (OPCA). The price index, nominal price, and real price increased across most categories, and the auction offer also rose. The total supply of live cattle in the northern region of Colombia increased by 12.6% over 12 months, rebounding from a decline since June. The real price per kilo of cattle in Córdoba and Sucre recovered purchasing power in October, with the exception of male and female cattle from the east, due to the nominal price received by the producer increasing at a greater rate than the index price paid by the bovine cattle producer.
