In the 2021-22 season, Aydın, Turkey's olive and olive oil exports saw a significant increase, with a 50 percent rise to $201.69 million from the export of 58,313 tons of olive oil. This marks a record high for the country's olive oil exports, with the average export price increasing by 12 percent to $3,458. The USA, Spain, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates were the top importers of Turkish olive oil. The upcoming 2022-23 season is expected to yield 730,000 tons of olives and 420,000 tons of olive oil, potentially positioning Turkey as the global leader in table olives and the second-largest producer of olive oil.
