Russia is set to mandate labeling for certain food and beverage products starting September 1, 2024. The products include canned foods, vegetable oils, fat-and-oil products, and non-alcoholic beer. The implementation will happen in stages, with non-alcoholic beer labeling starting October 1, 2024, and vegetable oils and fat-and-oil products labeling starting October 1, 2024, for glass and plastic packaging. Canned fish, seafood, and certain other products will require labeling by December 1, 2024. This initiative is part of the state labeling system 'Honest Sign', operated by the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies, which uses a unique digital code to verify product authenticity and track its origin.
