The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has approved new veterinary rules for the breeding, rearing, and sale of rabbits, which will be in effect from September 1, 2024, until September 1, 2030. The document sets requirements for conditions of keeping rabbits, quarantine measures, and mandatory preventive and diagnostic measures. These standards will apply to various entities, including farms, individual entrepreneurs, and institutions in the penitentiary system, with over 500 enterprises currently involved in rabbit breeding in the Russian Federation.
