Among these, agricultural product exports reached 31.34 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 15.5%; livestock product exports reached nearly 513 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 19%; aquatic product exports reached 9.31 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%; and forestry product exports reached 14.93 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%.
From a sales market perspective, Asia remains the largest export market for Vietnam's agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products, accounting for a market share of 44.7%; followed by the Americas and Europe, accounting for 22.7% and 13.8%, respectively; while Africa and Oceania account for 3% and 1.4%, respectively. Compared to the same period last year, Vietnam's exports to the Asian market increased by 4.9% this year, to the Americas by 8.3%, to Europe by 37.5%, to Africa by 83.6%, and to Oceania by 6.8%.
In specific markets, China accounts for a market share of 21.4%, the United States 20.4%, and Japan 7%. These are Vietnam's three major export markets for agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products. Compared to the same period last year, Vietnam's exports of agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products to China increased by 12%, to the United States by 6.2%, and to Japan by 20.4%.
Vietnam's agricultural product exports continue to show many highlights, especially the growth in export value, which is mainly due to the increase in selling prices.
The export prices of products such as coffee, cashews, and pepper have all risen significantly compared to the same period in 2024. For example, coffee prices increased by 42.5%. In the first ten months, coffee export volume and value reached 1.3 million tons and 7.41 billion U.S. dollars, respectively, with year-on-year increases of 13.5% and 61.8%. Germany, Italy, and Spain are Vietnam's three largest coffee markets, with market shares of 13.4%, 7.8%, and 7.4%, respectively.
Cashew exports reached 624,400 tons, generating 4.25 billion U.S. dollars, with year-on-year increases of 2.2% and 18.6%, respectively. In the first ten months of this year, the average export price of cashews exceeded 6,806 U.S. dollars per ton, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%. China, the United States, and the Netherlands are Vietnam's three largest cashew markets, with market shares of 21.1%, 19.1%, and 9.6%, respectively.
In the first ten months of this year, the average export price of pepper was approximately 6,774 U.S. dollars per ton, a year-on-year increase of 33.7%. Therefore, although the export volume of pepper only reached 206,300 tons, a decrease of 5.9%, the export value still reached 1.4 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 25.8%.
In October, fruit and vegetable exports reached 961 million U.S. dollars, making the total fruit and vegetable exports for the first ten months 7.09 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 15.1%. Vietnam's fruit and vegetables are mainly exported to the Chinese market, accounting for a high proportion of 62.9%; followed by the United States and South Korea, accounting for 6.6% and 3.9%, respectively.
It is worth noting that Vietnam's rice exports are showing a double decline in both volume and value. The average export price of rice is 511 U.S. dollars per ton, a year-on-year decrease of 18.5%.
Specifically, in October, rice exports reached 421,100 tons, generating 217 million U.S. dollars. In the first ten months, the total export volume reached 7.2 million tons, generating approximately 3.7 billion U.S. dollars, with year-on-year decreases of 6.5% and 23.8%, respectively.
