In the first five months of 2024, the Omsk region in Russia experienced a 13% increase in cattle for slaughter production compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 21 thousand tons. This growth is a part of a larger 69.2 thousand tons production of livestock and poultry. Pork and poultry production also saw increases of 3% and 7.5% respectively. However, milk production experienced a 2.3% decrease, totaling 234.0 thousand tons. Additionally, the region received 322.8 million eggs. The cattle population also saw an increase, with agricultural organizations keeping 139.5 thousand heads of cattle.
