The southeastern regions of Ukraine may soon forget about the concept of a commercial elevator market. This is particularly true for the south of the country. This was stated by Artem Rempen, Director of Development at "Almeida Group," in an article on Elevatorist.com. "I say this from my own experience — in Rozdory (Dnipropetrovsk region) this year we barely made 1.5 rounds on a 12,000-ton elevator. In the southeast this year, sunflower, corn, and the dryer were only started once to overdry 200 tons of confectionery sunflower. There was little wheat this year, it was food-grade, but the yield was small. It is difficult to buy food wheat in that region — there are many processing plants, mills, and it is difficult for exporters to compete with them," he says.
