Potato prices in Ukraine have dropped due to decreased demand from wholesale and retail businesses, as they are finding the bulk of the offer to be low-quality. High-quality potatoes are almost depleted, leading to a decline in trade and purchasing activity. Despite this, potatoes are still 25% more expensive on average this year. The largest potato producer in Ukraine is the Continental Farmers Group. Prices for last year's white cabbage have plummeted, selling for no more than 40-48 UAH/kg, while table beet prices are on the rise. Polish carriers have decided to close the border with Ukraine.
