Ukraine's seeds of cereals, corn, and sorghum have been granted access to the European Union market, following the EU's equivalence recognition. This development allows Ukraine to export seeds of oats, barley, various wheat types, fig, and sorghum to EU countries. The export can be done for varieties registered in the EU, as long as phytosanitary requirements are met. This update follows the Council Decision 2003/17 / EC of 16 December 2002, which includes Ukraine in Annex II as a country recognized by the EU for its certification and seed production system.
