In Ukraine, there is a shortage of honey, while the product produced by local farmers is being sold in Germany at lower prices. This was told to the publication "Kommersant Ukrainian" by the head of the company "Honey of Ukraine", a board member of the Association of Honey Exporters and Processors Eduard Krichfalushiya. "There is already a shortage. There is not enough honey on the Ukrainian market. The first sign of this shortage is the absence of certain varieties of honey in retail networks. Today, the price of Ukrainian honey on the shelves of stores in Ukraine is higher than on the shelves in Germany for the same Ukrainian honey," Krichfalushiya states.
