The problem was caused by a mislabeled ingredient in the products. Peanut oil has been labeled as sunflower oil. Excessive withdrawals due to undeclared peanuts The first report was recorded on October 28, 2021, when confectionery and mayonnaise were withdrawn in Belgium, and on October 29, information appeared on the RASFF portal about incorrectly labeled peanut oil, which was labeled as sunflower oil. In this case, an additional problem is the health risk due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (peanuts). The non-conforming product was reported by Belgium, it comes from France and has been distributed in the following countries: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Sweden (as of November 5, 2021).
